The History of Science CentreCarlton House Terrace, London

Refurbishment and restoration of this Grade I listed building whilst the Client remained in occupation. The library and reading room date back to 1890 and include panelled rooms and a spectacular historic artwork ceiling. The scheme included upgrading these areas to make them suitable for visitors, seminars and receptions including the installation of new heating, cooling, lighting and AV equipment. One of the major challenges was threading the new services through this very special historic building without causing any damage.
