The Royal Academy of EngineeringCarlton House Terrace, London

The Academy remained in occupation whilst their five storey Grade I listed building was remodelled and refurbished. Significant structural works were involved including removing old lift shafts and creating new shafts and services risers, some of which required underpinning.

One of the features of the building is a new sinuous bridge at the entrance. Internally, the remodelled space includes new conference and lecture facilities, meeting facilities, reception areas and toilets. New plant and air handling equipment was installed and the entire IT and AV infrastructure replaced.
