Intu Shopping CentresWatford

The Watford Refresh project comprised extensive phased refurbishment of the Intu Watford Shopping Centre to rebrand/ refinish the retail space to a new design and to improve the existing infrastructure.

The project had two key deliverables. The first, replacement and upgrade of the M&E systems and associated infrastructure within back and front of house areas to provide modern life safety, CCTV and building management systems on a combined backbone. The second, architectural finishes and refresh works to the malls, toilets and car park lobby areas. This included works to floors, walls, ceilings, balustrading, lighting, escalators and entrances. Due to the nature of working in an occupied shopping centre, all works in the front of house mall were undertaken outside trading hours.
