The Royal Academy of EngineeringEnterprise Hub, Carlton House Terrace, London

The Academy remained in occupation whilst the refurbishment and adaptation of three lower levels took place in this Grade I listed building.

The plan was to create an Enterprise Hub providing new services and AV facilities for Academy Fellows to support promising engineering entrepreneurs, through mentoring, training and funding to accelerate technological enterprise.

Structural modifications including the removal of a secondary stair and the reconfiguration of the principal
stair has created additional floor space. The original 5 metre high brick interior was exposed to open up the original circulation routes and reinstate much of the original natural light and ventilation.
